This update is especially beneficial for church admins, web developers, and content managers looking for a more seamless sermon management experience. Here’s what’s new:
Improved Sermon Audio Downloads
Previously, some users experienced issues where MP3 downloads would open in a new tab instead of downloading directly. We’ve addressed this, ensuring a more reliable and consistent download experience for sermon audio files.
New [cp-template] Shortcode for Page Builders
We’ve added a new [cp-template] shortcode to make it easier to manage CP Sermons templates in popular page builders like Elementor and Bricks. When creating an archive or single sermon page using a page builder, simply insert [cp-template] to load CP Sermons’ default template for that view. This provides more flexibility while keeping everything structured properly.
Fix for Astra Pro Compatibility Issue
Some users with Astra Pro encountered a fatal error during the sermon import process due to a conflict with an outdated version of WP Background Process. We’ve resolved this by renaming our version to prevent any collisions, ensuring smooth imports moving forward.
Fixed Custom Per Page Count for Sermons
Previously, the number of sermons displayed per page was incorrectly pulling from the Series setting instead of using the intended per-page count. This has now been fixed, giving you full control over how many sermons appear per page.

Updating is easy! Simply head to your WordPress dashboard, navigate to Plugins > Installed Plugins, and update CP Sermons to the latest version.
